We are hosting a monthly virtual Talking Circle for our MMIW families and survivors of sexual and/or gender based violence. We encourage you to use your tools for grounding since we are unable to meet in person at this time. Preparation is part of the work, so we can start to anticipate what it is we will need to have ready for this circle. What helps me tools to help me keep grounded? What will I need? Some suggestions: smudge/natural medicines, water, grandfathers, sacred foods like berries, wild rice, wild meats, and corn. Using these during circle helps us practice mindfulness, and self-care. The preparation for this time helps us to grow our mental and emotional connections...even that intuitive muscle! The work we put in is always recognized by spirit, and those blessings extend to all our relatives. Wāēwāēnen, and start your preparations for sharing your medicine.
